Welcome to The Coach House, one of the premier b&bs and guesthouses in the picturesque rural setting of Greta Bridge, County Durham, and part of the original C17th George Coaching Inn which, for the past one hundred and fifty years, has been a private house within it's own landscape. The River Greta with it's Brignal Banks, painted by artists John Sell Cotman and J. M. W. Turner, runs along the western boundary of the estate, where guests may fish for brown trout.

For the holiday maker, or traveller, the house is in striking distance of the Yorkshire Dales, the North York Moors, Hadrian's Wall and so many other historic and natural beauty spots. Barnard Castle offers several antique shops and, of course, the Bowes Museum.

The Coach House aims to offer the very best accommodation and hospitality in all seasons.

For the traveller or motorist the Coach House, situated eight miles west of Scotch Corner just off the A66, offers, as in previous times, an ideal stopping off point from the South of England on the way to Scotland or the Lake District.
How to Find us

There are convenient churches nearby, in both Rokeby and Brignal, as well as a Roman Catholic Church in Barnard Castle.
